Telemetry Storage Operations

This runbook tells operators how to deploy and verify Stella Ops telemetry storage on the supported, non-Kubernetes release model. Pair it with the telemetry collector operations and observability runbooks.

Audience: platform operators responsible for telemetry retention, object storage, and sealed-mode/air-gap behavior.

Supported Scope

Telemetry storage deployment follows the Stella Ops non-Kubernetes release model: Docker Compose, Offline Kit, signed release manifests, and host/service-manager operations.

Kubernetes storage blueprints are retired.

Deployment Checklist

  1. Verify the signed release manifest and storage service image digests.
  2. Configure object storage, local retention paths, and credentials through Compose environment files or the approved host secret store.
  3. Start storage services through the supported Compose profile or host service manager.
  4. Verify readiness, retention policy, and sealed-mode export behavior.
  5. Record release manifest digest, storage config hash, and health output.

Unsupported Legacy Paths

Do not create Kubernetes namespaces, Secrets, ConfigMaps, or kubectl resources for Stella Ops telemetry storage.
